Refund Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Valtorix Competitions, we are committed to fair and transparent treatment of all our participants. Where the law requires us to issue a refund, we will always do so, in full and without delay.

This policy explains the situations in which a refund applies, and how to contact us so we can assist you.

1. About Refunds for Competition Entries

Entries to competitions on valtorixcompetitions.com are bought to take part in a specific draw. Like other prize competition operators in the United Kingdom, our entries are generally final once the draw is taking place. This is consistent with regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which excludes the 14-day cooling-off right for services whose outcome depends on an uncertain event.

2. Situations in Which You Are Entitled to a Refund

We will issue a full refund (to the original payment method, or as account credit at your preference) in the following situations:

  • a. Cancellation of a competition by the Promoter — if we cancel a competition before the draw for any reason, including under our Terms of Service §22 (Force Majeure), every paid entry for that competition is refunded in full.
  • b. Technical issues that affect your entry — if a payment was successfully taken but the system did not register your entry, and the issue cannot be remedied, we refund the payment in full.
  • c. Duplicate payment — if a single entry was charged more than once due to a technical issue, the duplicate amount is refunded.
  • d. Account holder under 18 — if it later comes to light that an account holder was under 18 at the time of entry, we close the account, refund any entries paid and the prizes are forfeited, in line with the Gambling Act 2005.
  • e. A material breach of our Terms by us, where the breach cannot be remedied — for example, where we fail to run a draw in line with the published rules.
  • f. Any other situation in which a refund is required by law, by a competent authority, or by an order of a court of England and Wales.

3. Free Postal Entries

Free entries submitted by post under §7 of our Terms of Service involve no payment, so they generate no right to a refund. They remain valid entries to the competition with the same chance of winning as paid entries.
